What drives the cost

Effective cost optimization is intrinsically proactive. Most cost work starts after the bill arrives: someone notices a spike, traces it to a resource, and plans a fix weeks after the money was spent. By then the design is in production, other systems depend on it, and changing it carries risk.

The cheapest moment to control a cost is before the change ships. A pull request that adds a database, a cluster or an AI agent is the last point where the cost decision is free. A different size, region or pricing model is a one-line edit there, not a migration later.

Tools only help if people use them at that moment, which is why proactive IT cost optimization is a culture rather than a report. Teams that do it well share a few habits. They put a cost estimate in every infrastructure pull request, so the reviewer sees the price beside the diff. They agree a budget for each service and check every change against it. They name an owner for every cost. And they compare the estimate with the bill a month later, so the next estimate is better.

The tools on this page support those habits. The Terraform estimator prices a plan or a folder of .tf files before you apply it. The others price a Kubernetes cluster from its pod requests, an AI agent loop before it runs, and two architecture placements before you choose one. Everything runs in your browser.

Catch cost before it ships. Fix what already shipped.

Finitizer CloudIQ finds what already costs too much on AWS and Google Cloud, and prepares each fix as a Terraform pull request for your engineers to review.
