Cloud Pricing Change Tracker
A weekly, permalinked digest of SKU-level price changes across the three major clouds, with tier-boundary moves and retirements called out separately from the noise of new SKUs. Subscribe by RSS.
Collecting
The first digests appear once two snapshots exist to compare. AWS publishes historical versions of its price list, so its archive will back-fill; Google Cloud and Azure publish only current prices, so their history starts from our first snapshot and grows from there.
There is deliberately nothing here in the meantime. An empty digest reads as “no changes this week”, and a change feed that tells you that when it simply has not looked is worse than no feed.
How the noise is filtered
AWS alone mints thousands of SKU rows on a given day, so a raw diff is unreadable. Every change is classified before it is published:
- Always shown — rate changes on existing SKUs, tier-boundary moves (economically a price change, and almost nobody notices them), new services, and retirements.
- Collapsed — one product appearing in many regions at once is one event, not thirty.
- Hidden by default — description-only edits, and rate moves below 0.1%, which are rounding rather than news.
List prices in USD, from each provider’s public pricing API. Your negotiated rates will differ; the direction and timing of a change usually will not.
Knowing a price changed is step one.
Finitizer tells you what that change costs you specifically — matching each rate move against your own usage, so a 12% egress rise becomes a number in your currency rather than a headline.
